Asymmetric White Oak Cabinet
Made for a customer who wanted something different as when she was shopping around found most of the cabinets, she was looking at were just large rectangles. The design started as just a concept drawing which she like and we when from there. The use of the black walnut in the bent laminated handles and supports was chosen to match the flooring in her house. As part of the brief, she wanted something that didn’t look like something she had bought from a shop. The mitered thought dovetail was to give the piece a handmade feature and with the shape of the legs to the tapers and angles in the shelf for the subtle and elegant design which make this feature piece stand out but keeps usability and storage.
